Do you expect WebGPU to make any of these things better in the near-ish future, or is it just as much of a mess?

Ah no, it's the EFB depth peeks one! I'm guessing webgl makes it hard to do depth buffer readbacks?

Can't remember, is that the one that's implemented with performance counters on GC?

"It's complicated", as far as I understand. See trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/t…
TL;DR: "If we turned on IPv6 autodetection by default, operators with broken IPv6 configs might find their relays being excluded from the consensus because they are unreachable on IPv6."

Finally fixed IPv6 connectivity for my Tor relay nodes! It's 2020 and Tor unfortunately still doesn't automatically try to be reachable over v6, it needs explicit configuration compared to v4.

People might see that as "fun stats", I see it as network admins abusing their access to identify people's activity just because they can. Yes, people could VPN, but that doesn't make you right. twitter.com/pvaneynd/statu…

That does seem pretty stupid. I was looking at the X1 Carbon line since that's usually what I shop for, and there it's soldered only and LPDDR.
T495 doesn't even seem to be using LPDDR, so my previous justification doesn't apply.

Which model are you looking at specifically?

Is there even a standard DIMM for LPDDR3/4? My understanding was that if you want LPDDR4 and the power consumption savings that come with it (esp. when in sleep mode) you *have* to go soldered.

@fiber7_ch any ongoing outage on 790ENG? Getting no DHCP, and given how much ARP requests the gateway (212.51.139.1) is broadcasting I think I might not be the only one.
