Funny how a person who claimed it was their constitutional right to carry a gun has problems with people exercising their constitutional rights to speak free.

Lady—he said he’d release his records and then said he wouldn’t. So: lying. Not birtherism, not a smear. A solid question from Berman and a lame tap dance from you. Very Trump-like, tho.

I think we need to have a serious conversation about how the wrong men who have no actual knowledge about women’s bodies are worshipped and trusted and this actually puts women and their health in danger

Society pressures those capable of childbirth to have kids, but overlooks the fact that it can be so scary, painful and dangerous. Why is it that in every other case, we tell people to take care of their health and keep their bodies safe but don't consider it with having kids?

I’m always amazed by how medical textbooks will drop a: “Black people are more likely to develop...” “African-Americans have the highest rates of...” With no mention whatsoever of the systemic factors that contribute to the disparate outcomes we observe.

Being the type of person who overdelivers has for sure caused some soreness in my life but the idea of giving less never really resonated with me, so I've had to learn to pour that energy into the appropriate channels and when I'm able to pull it off it really works well.

In 2018, Delta reported profits of $5 billion and paid no federal income tax. In fact, it received a *credit* of $187 million. Keep that in mind as you ask permission to recline your seat.

The winners in this system, by the way, prefer it when we recast systemic problems as questions of individual choice:

You're not mad at seat recliners, you're mad at a capitalist system that turns the pursuit of minimal comfort and dignity into a zero-sum game in order to maximize profits.

In Parasite (2019), the Scholar's Stone floats in the sewage water, revealing that the rock is fake & hollow: this explains why Ki-woo survived the head blow and implies that the dream for upward social mobility (which the stone represents) is full of hollow promises

Love me some BoJack- Wrote about Diane's weight gain being a lesson on how gaining weight makes room for joy. We all need to work on rejecting our fatphobia and adapting a fat ptx (esp in ED recovery). Thank you to all the amazing editors
