Brian McIntyre’s hit the nail on the head of the *other* long-term problem with Khan. “When he moves his feet he doesn’t throw; when he throws combinations he’s not moving.” Both have been impressive in isolation but he’s rarely married the two.

“I’m not one of these fighters who quits; I’d rather get knocked out.” To his credit, that rings true for all of his defeats before now. He’s also fronting up to the press - few losing fighters do.

Crawford’s presently accusing Khan of quitting; Khan’s vehemently denying it. He’s also playing down suggestions he injured his right arm, but then says he had problems with it during his training camp

Really admire Khan for the way he's fighting back and remains so game, but no one knows better than those two in the ring that the stoppage is coming.

Lots to admire about Lopez — again. Not that I'm remotely ready to jump on this subtly growing 'He can beat Lomachenko' movement.

Deeply suspicious Floyd Mayweather wrote Shakur Stevenson's post-fight comments for him. Convincing win, I mean.

Verdejo's very much performing like the fighter he's often threatened to be. Have him comfortably in front and almost certain to pull further ahead

Victory over that calibre of fighter - and a world title in another division - might be the only things realistically missing from what’s been Khan’s unmissable career. Unfortunately Crawford’s special enough he likely stops him anytime from the fourth

IN REVIEW ‘Against Crolla, Lomachenko demonstrated not only how consistent that destructiveness is becoming, but even more significantly that he is continuing to improve.’ Out now:
