i wouldn’t trust these 23andme dna ancestry things, anyways. aside from the fact that dna does not determine native identity, it seems that 23andme tends to lump in east asian groups with indigenous groups. it all seems a little fishy to me.

Mic drop. Like I honor the native ancestry I have due to mixing in Mexico but that doesn’t make me Native American. And it certainly wouldn’t make Nikita somehow able to do box braids when that’s an entirely different braiding style to native ones (from what I know).
