At the Newseum’s wall of newspapers from all 50 states today, just one newspaper — the one based in Honolulu, Hawaii — even mentioned the words “climate change” on the front page.

Meanwhile, multiple papers today led with stories that have clear climate links (or implications) — even though none of these stories actually mentioned climate change.

The Sunday shows were a mixed bag. ABC’s This Week directly addressed the report. CNN’s State of the Union and CBS’ Face the Nation had climate questions too. But Fox News Sunday ignored it, and the closest NBC’s Meet the Press got was a question about hurricanes and politics.

Hi, thank you for this tweetstorm. I’m the director of a new public interest group , dedicated to helping the media mention climate change in the debates and in the stories about climate change they’re already unwittingly reporting. 1/n

What’s the saying? Twice is a coincidence; three times is a trend; four times is a public health problem linked to climate change?

Oh...there’s no climate change? Ask the folks who USED to live in Mexico Beach, Florida.

Evidence, if we needed it, that the news isn’t doing what it needs to.

All other Countries are taking notice of it and making plans to achieve the necessary changes. Trump says, We can't achieve it so we won't waste any more money on Environmental Protections. We'll just try to make as much money we can from carbon emissions and fuck the future

The sad thing is this is an existential crisis on a global scale. We need all hands on deck but instead we are so wrapped up in our bullshit that we can’t even work together when our survival depends on it. We need to treat this as of an asteroid will hit the planet in 100 years.

Contact the AMA and get them to declare it a public health emergency. Maybe if these politicians don't believe in Science, their doctors shouldn't use any to treat them.

I was just at a church meeting, and we are visioning for our building and community and the next 50 years, and this IPCC report factored into our discussion. People are noticing, but not official D.C.

Of course the world shouldn't need it explaining to them that the earth is burning up, but until it's the most pressing thing in front of their noses they won't take it seriously.
