Dear young aspiring journalists, the reason for the outpouring of sadness and love for Cokie Roberts isn’t just b/c she was smart and really good at what she did. Her humanity set her apart. She didn’t sacrifice it for her job.

This is graphic, yes. But it is true and powerful. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can do better. We must.

Tom walked us through the museum – vacuum by vacuum – and had a story to tell behind each piece. One of my favorites was the vacuum that spent four years on GWB's Air Force One. According to Tom, "Every time you turn it on, it smells like piña coladas." ✈️🍹

Funny story... I met Tom Gasko 10 years ago on the same day I met my wife. My friend and I stopped at his museum while touring across MO. We were the only people there, and Tom gave us a full guided tour. He's the real deal.

Special thanks to the agent who apparently gifted me a bag of random office supplies and loose pills while inspecting my audio gear 🙃

This is one of the most famous paintings in American history: Declaration of Independence. I decided to put red dots on all the men who held slaves. Next time someone puts them on a pedestal and says we can't question their judgement on guns or whatever, show them this image.

I am going to repeat this one more time: the goal of the press should be the truth, not balance. Having people on who don’t traffic in facts and who consistently lie doesn’t get to the truth.

Just learned about this for the first time a couple years ago at the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston. Such an incredible story that needs to be told more often.

A photo, a lead for the ages: "The eyes of the Hooters owl stare at us, as if through large goggles, wide open with shock & horror. ... This is what war looks in America, a surreal juxtaposition of familiar logos & brand names & a now all-too-familiar display of police response."
