Audubon will continue to fight these changes in court, but we need Congress to pass the Migratory Bird Protection Act to reinforce this vital law.

This environmental review process has made a mockery of the public engagement and scientific review required under the law. Reinstating this 100-year-old bedrock law must be a top conservation priority for the Biden-Harris Administration and the 117th Congress.

The administration lost in court and is sidestepping that ruling with a rushed, corrupt process designed to keep the next administration from saving the lives of millions of birds.

President Trump may have pardoned a turkey this week, but heโ€™s in a frenzy to finalize his bird-killer policy and strip away critical protections in the Migratory Bird Treaty Act before the end of the year.

To that end, we will advocate for a more resilient & inclusive economy with more green jobs, for cleaner air, & stronger communities that protect birds, conserve water, restore wetlands, & reduce emissions. We look forward to working with elected officials to achieve this vision.

Audubon is resolute in our ambition for inclusivity, our commitment to becoming an anti-racist organization, and our determination to address the disproportionate impact climate change and air and water pollution have on marginalized communities.

Now that the votes have been counted, itโ€™s important that the rule of law is respected and the peaceful transition of power proceeds as it has since the founding of our nation.

In the coming days the actions taken by election officials and courts will have a lasting impact on the trajectory of our democracyโ€”they should do everything in their power to protect the rule of law and count every vote.

The biggest danger facing birds is climate change. Our science shows that failure to act could make two-thirds of birds in North America vulnerable to extinction. investing in clean energy is an important factor in saving the birds we love

While wind turbine collisions cause less bird mortalities than building collisions or cats, a strong and enforceable Migratory Bird Treaty Act is the best way to from industrial threats.

Audubon strongly supports wind energy that is sited and operated properly to avoid, minimize, and compensate effectively for the impacts on birds, other wildlife, and the places they need now and in the future.

Congrats to actress, conservationist, and Audubon board member Jane Alexander () on her latest Tony nomination for the play Grand Horizons. The birds and people of Audubon are lucky to have such a talented advocate in their corner.

Billions of migratory birds rely on Canada's boreal forest for their survival. Thankfully, Indigenous Guardians are helping to protect these critical habitatsโ€”which is why we are supporting the campaign.

Birds have offered hope to millions in a pandemic. But not everyone has equal access โ€” even to hope. This year has spotlighted the fact that Black birders don't experience equal freedom or safety while birding. We must actively work to change that

Birds canโ€™t vote and they canโ€™t file a lawsuitโ€”but we can. This is an all-hands-on- deck moment to defend the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and protect Americaโ€™s bird nursery from drilling.
