Dave Weigel
Belatedly noticed this line from Trump’s ceremony for Art Laffer’s Medal of Freedom. Trump graduated from Wharton in 1968. The concept behind the curve has been around for a while, but Laffer didn’t sketch it out until 1974.

Just can't help but make it about him and lie at the same time. Bonus point.

There's literally nothing so petty and trivial that won't lie about it anyway! 😑

Trump lies. Only the really dim would believe a word he says.

Bloomberg beat you to this one - Margaret Talev: "I’ve heard and studied the Laffer Curve for many years in the Wharton School of Finance," ( '68) said today at the White House as he honored Art Laffer, who famously drew the curve on a napkin... in 1974

Maybe he has a time machine. While in 1968 went travelled to 1974 to study curves for years! Just maybe?
