Ali Wong’s guide to evaluating the quality of Asian restaurants is a must read and I refuse to eat with my non-Asian friends until they have read this and incorporated it into the very core of their being

I’ve said many times the way to tell a good Chinese restaurant is usually a ton of 3 star Yelp review that knocked off stars “for bad service.” Non-Asians don’t understand amazing Chinese food will never come from perky attentive waitstaff!!

Exactly! Our sweet spot for Asian restaurants on Yelp is 3.5*... and I am actively disinclined if it’s above 4*

I only eat at Asian restaurants that don’t take American Express but still use American Express bill folds.

Friend explained to me it's acceptable because the nephew got a hold of the Spotify Playlist while uncle went for a smoke.
