"The majority of engineers have never worked on a 'good' project"... or a well-instrumented system, or a high performing team. This includes plenty of engineers with well above-average knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

I noticed that Apple changed the ^ character in San Francisco to a more wider figure in Big Sur. It still doesn't quite fit the shape of e-circumflex, so it's interesting to see. I have to say I liked the wider one better though, as it's a little closer to the original ^.

My very first boyfriend once told me he didn’t mind my looks because “he likes a woman with big legs” and 24 years later this is the first thing I think of any time I wear shorts and anyway, maybe we shouldn’t let teenage boys speak ever

Civil discourse is for stuff like "should we appropriate tax dollars to remodel this school?" or "should this part of town be split into a new zip code?" White supremacy deserves neither civility or discourse. It must be confronted and abolished in the harshest manner possible.

I’ve been using Agile Software Development by our not so favourite uncle as part of the curriculum in my course. I need to find an alternative. The course covers introduction to software dev, from communication, to testing, refactoring, architecture basics, build/deploy++ help?

The story of America is that rich white men said everyone is created equal and spent the next 250 years being surprised that people took them seriously.

It's disability pride month so here's a list of some of the ableist practices I hear in the academy all the time/have dealt with: My grad school wouldn't postpone my enrollment for a year even though I was having brain surgery. So I enrolled in my PhD program 6 mo after (1/14)
