Happy to be included in this list of fine folk that recognise that the BBC’s current funding model belongs to the last century.

This is from Boris Johnson’s Brexit negotiator David Frost, it’s reassuring and worth a read. “In short, we only want what other independent countries have.”

Simor commenting on Sabisky liking a load of Christian pages on Facebook as if it’s somehow disqualifying. Would she tweet this if they were pages related to any other faith? Deranged.

If this is what’s hitting my inbox, can you imagine what has been hitting hero ’s inbox for the past five years? Truly poisonous, vile, tin hat conspiracy theories that have been allowed to seep within Labour.

Just caught up with Sir Keir Starmer KCB QC MP on . Had to rewind it! It’s rather rich of Keir to accuse Boris Johnson of being a liar when he had just argued that he tried and tried to pass a Brexit deal – he did all he could to bring about a second vote! Rewriting history.

Part of our ring-fenced aid budget spend goes on shoring up flood defences abroad, which is set at a guaranteed 0.7 per cent of GDP and now stands at a whopping £14 billion. Yet we're only spending £600m-£800m a year on flood defences at home. Priorities?

It's capitalism that'll come up with the solutions to climate change. Look at the success of responding to environmental challenges through relatively new companies like Tesla, their electric car lineup is being snapped up and their share price is soaring as a consequence.

“Our research shows that the right is outnumbered, outspent, and appears on the airwaves far less frequently than the left’s advocacy groups.” I. Am. Shocked. Shocked, I tell you. Shocked.

Green logic: We need reforestation and open green spaces, they soak up CO2 and improve the mental wellbeing of all of us. Extinction Rebellion: Absolutely right! Let's raise awareness of this pressing issue by digging up a lawn. 🥴

Yup. The EU isn't a club built on friendship and cooperation, it's a bullying cartel.

Extinction Rebellion aren’t achieving more awareness for their cause. With acts of criminal damage like this one, they’ll simply push people to believing their prescription is as extreme as their tactics. They’ll do more to push people away from environmentalism than owt else.

This is why rent controls are bad. They would not add a single flat to the country’s housing stock. On the contrary: they would entice the ‘marginal landlord’ – the person for whom the decision to be a landlord is a borderline decision – to leave the market entirely. Then what?

I find it incredibly satisfying knowing that, for the most part, I never see the hateful bile that they're wasting so much of their time producing.

"Ireland has just become the first European Union state to elect a party with an armed wing." Gone is the image of the Republic of Ireland as a bastion of progressive, liberal values that can point and laugh at the supposedly 'backwards' United Kingdom.

He’s right. The tax code is growing unsustainably – it is more than double the size it was in 2009, with the tax burden at its highest for almost 50 years.

Struggling to see how this is transphobic. What is being advocated by is medical intervention of children; puberty blockers, experimental hormones and sterilisation. Despite many kids experiencing gender dysphoria ceasing to desire to be the other sex by puberty.

And whose fault is that? The UK has been crystal clear about what it wants, it’s nowt special: a Free Trade Agreement without tariffs. Until France can tell us why we can’t have tariff free access without regulatory alignment (like Korea, Japan and Canada) it’s on the EU.

Not only that, I hope this kite flies. 180,000 criminal prosecutions per annum. 30% of all prosecutions of women (usually poor women) and nearly 100 people per year thrown into prison. Because they don’t want - or can’t afford - to buy a state-backed product. End it. Fast. Now.
