At the same time, many of the most popular games in the world are 60fps. People may not understand what that even means but they know those games feel great to play. Frame-rate is part of it.

Yeeahhh, it’s ok enough.

It’s not even capped on Switch so frame-rate ranges from like 15 to 55 fps depending on what’s happening.

Yeah, it’s unbelievable. It clearly wasn’t ready to ship. I suspect it was architected on their PCs with a lot of headroom and they simply couldn’t get it running well on Switch and ran out of time.

I’d say most do. This one is a crazy exception. Clearly they lack the technical know how.

360 releases almost always ran better than on PS3. The PS3 is horrific for multi-platform gaming. There are exceptions (FFXIII) but they’re rare.

Well, it’s certainly not perfect but it fits in with the time. The issue is that every other version runs much much worse.

We’re gonna just have to disagree then but that’s fine.

Really? Which games are you thinking of? For me, I genuinely believe it’s battle system was one of the absolute best of that era.

Absolutely an issue with most RPGs but at least 1) the battle system is exceptionally fun and 2) it has auto mode when you’re not in the mood and just pushing through. So better than many others of the era! Plus, no random encounters.

I dunno, aside from the characters, it’s less daunting than, say, German. Now that is a language that I’ve struggled with.

Yes I do. A bit rusty as it’s been a while since I lived there but trying to keep it up. Grandia’s writing is fairly simple thankfully. Some games are wayyy too much for me, though.

Original version for now - still need to rip and patch the ISO. Sounds like the translation is pretty much finished, though, and apparently very good!

RPG episodes are extremely time consuming so I’m not sure when that could happen. Some day.

Grandia received a remaster and he remaster is bad. :-(
