New view (for me) from today. Female voice for eg Alexa a business decision, driven by market research (“are you more comfortable with M of F voice?”), which is another way to encode and continue existing cultural bias into products.

Today I learnt that calls to 999 are a kind of currency which local police use to bid for resources. Never thought of it like that, but makes a kind of sense.
