The security of the HTTP-01 validation method can't rely on your particular config. It must be secure globally. RE options, you could use the DNS-01 or TLS-ALPN-01 challenge types to avoid binding :80 (Which I disagree is an issue: letsencrypt.org/docs/allow-por…). Anyway, good luck.

If you're talking about the HTTP-01 challenge the reason it is limited to HTTP for the initial connection is specified in RFC 8555 §8.3. The requirement addresses a default vhost attack that would subvert DV with some large hosters. Hope that helps explain, pic.twitter.com/8S9tJIxtRU

Last year, I started to see my airline status as a crime committed against environment and humanity. It was such a powerful perspective change that it significantly made me reduce air travel.

Must-read by @LeaKissner on pants problems: "if you’re going to build products where one user can send another user pictures and you want that product to be built with respect, you are going to need to consider this problem." @KeybaseIO should take note. buildwithrespect.com/2019/11/16/pan…

Those are great! I hacked together something similar for an x86 ASM Windows 95 virus payload back in May: twitter.com/cpu/status/112…
Before I started I didn't know the Windows start menu was itself a normal window. It was really funny when it started to move too!

I gave in to eBay temptation and bought a 386 laptop (COMPAQ SLT 386s/20) that was available in my area. Win95 is pre-installed and ready to go. Only 14lbs! Just need a USB Floppy drive to copy my ASM over 💾 🐛 pic.twitter.com/wEGQYu7BOy

The weather is cooling off and I'm back with another VeXation update: log.vexation.ca/entry-points/ This time I fixed up the WIP virus code so that infected programs are still usable post-infection.
