Twitter makes nothing into something and something into nothing and as much as I love every post turning into an op-ed for assholes:

Yours was a polite and heathy discussion. The above commenter I found unkind and I was referring to that.

This wasn’t in reference to you at all, Jane.

This post is not even remotely about or in reference to the show - I’m gonna lose my damn fucking MIND.

That’s the tipping point. People feel so comfortable acting like this under the veil of the internet and the right to their “opinion”. It causes others to meet your energy and it signals that this is appropriate discourse. It isn’t.

The difference between a discussion and an attack is clear to me. If you’re saying “this is what I think about that” while using soft language, asking questions and listening - that is a discussion. The alternative uses insults and repetitive, one-sided, non-constructive claims.

I was simply pointing out a kinder approach when speaking about others — would be silly not to say something. Thanks! You too.

If your going to comment poorly and unkindly about strangers on my completely unrelated post, I’m going to speak up about it. If you don’t like me not approving of your unkindness, I’m not really concerned about that.

I chose to respond bc it’s on my post. You said she’s a turn-off and looks like a lazy bitch. That’s not rhetoric, that’s rudeness. Nobody “signed up” to be bullied bc you don’t like the way they do their job. I’m simply suggesting you reconsider how you debate your opinions.

I’m sure they’re capable but it’s not their job. She’s the chief stew; she’s head of service. The other stew’s jobs are to do cabins. When they become chief stew, they won’t have to do cabins anymore.

If you express your opinion abt someone w/o hurling insults, it’s much more effective & certainly much more kind. Since you’re referring to someone whom you have never met, have only seen on TV, & whose actions have no affect on you, I’d highly recommend you both take that route.

Turn downs are done during dinner service. The comparison to literal navy seals suggested that you took it literally, so.

That was hyperbole. If the chief stew is doing turn-downs during dinner service, who would you suggest be with the guests?

Totally! I just didn’t see why everyone seemed so pressed about this particular thing. Was it just because she’s developing a relationship with Adam and it’s Adam’s coat? And yes, it’s a short show and they have to showcase the progression of the relationship between crew.
