Protest outside the courthouse is going great in support of Kayla Moore who died at the hands of the Berkeley police while they were doing a welfare check on her.

There is every reason to believe that someone else with a mental health disability or who is trans could lose their life at the hands of the Berkeley Police. PACK THE COURT TOMORROW to hold the Moore family in community and demand accountability.

The family of Kayla Moore is still fighting for justice because the Berkeley Police Department and the City of Berkeley have made no changes as a result of Kayla's in-custody death in the almost seven years since it happened.

We witnessed two police interactions tonight on a Copwatch shift and one of them ended in an arrest. I got to see an officer get enraged that the subject he was arresting didn’t identify everything he had in his pocked before the police searched him.

UCPD allowed "hot dog cop" Aranas #76 to be RETIRED after overwhelming pressure to have him FIRED. This is after allegations of sexual assault, excessive force & harassment of homeless & poor people. Let's hope he isn't just re-hired by another department.

My friend’s 7th grader goes to a school where the kids organized for free tampons in the bathroom. The male principle said no because they would “abuse the privilege.” The kids decided to stage a cookie protest. Behold the tampon cookies!
