I don't know if it is incremental, but I'm surprised that I've never heard of it before now.

That was my first guess too, but no!
Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and Pokémon* all beat it in episode count, limiting it to anime. (American Soap Operas dominate, of course.)
* Pokémon may not be incremental enough to count. Unclear.
But those are just contenders I've heard of!

That is a real this, for sure. You can tell the difference between a show that expects the be broadcast weekly and a show that expects to drop a whole season at once on Netflix.
Cheap trick: season drop shows will just stretch an episode to 1:05 if they need to for the plot.

Either, but I'd say any show with more than 20 episodes isn't really gonna be binged.
One could make an argument that binge-targetted shows are meant to be watched a season at a time, and thus you should really count the number of seasons.
