I would be surprised if the watch gets scratched if it's a steel model – the glass is sapphire crystal

nice to remember this message from Stan Lee - that politics, messages, and progressive ideals not only have a place in comics and art, but are actually the only reason to have comics and art at all

well, for example, JS values are generally on the heap somewhere, and there have been plenty of UAF bugs for wasm, there is no concept of an object

lazytweet: is it easier to break out of Isolates (or contexts in JSC parlance) using WebAssembly or JavaScript? Does WebAssembly do that fancy software fault isolation stuff?

Instead of writing union types that function as type trees all the way down, just keep the error your layer cares about, and tack the underlying error onto some untyped chain as context

I think error chains are compelling. At the lowest level, the magic bytes of your property list are wrong), but at the level you care about the property list is just invalid.

yeah – in addition to Result<T, E> in Rust, a lot of my pain stemmed from Future<T, E> and Stream<T, E> as well…

To be fair, Result<T, E> in Rust is a PITA without std::convert::From and Having to manually define ad-hoc union types at each level of your code when you just want to know "this HTTP request failed" is annoying
