What type of ice cream do they sell? Dawn was the gem of ice cream cones...wonder if it's available anywhere. I believe Kerry still supply McDonalds with the milk shake which was a close relation.

give an accurate result based on one test. The range of differences between cows between am and PM milking is staggering. This has to be resolved.

calibrated? Is there a system of mimicking an actual milking while calibration is taking place? Another issue is only taking one sample. I have all the individual am/pm results for a number of years. There is absolutely no way you could possibly make up a formula that would

At this with some time now. The higher the yield and also the higher the foam, the higher the inaccuracies. That's the only correlation I can find. It has to be something to do with turbulence of the milk passing the sample point in the meter. You have to ask how are these meters

Incredible yields Bryan, but more thought provoking is the output from this cut ground. Could the output efficiency offset much of its cost relative to grazed grass?

How do you measure the silage yields Bryan?

Possible damage to the molecules before making it to the tank, but I wonder can different fluctuations in vacuum and foam etc be replicated at calibration stage of these meters? Are the meters actually taking a representative sample?

If you still have the recorder printout, you'll see if these cows were in the first row to be recorded. There can't be water after that..

where it takes what it supposed to be a representitive sample. Our highest foam part of the year corresponds with the great discrepancy in the fat figures.

Massive problem here with butterfat, particularly at peak months.Recording company trying hard to be fair to find some evidence in the figures of what may be to fault. I'm concerned about the meters! Concerned about foam, or indeed agitated milk arriving at the meter where it t

Can I ask if any of you "high foam" folk have inaccuracies in you butterfat readings in your milk recording? Particularly EDIY?

Dermot..could you overseed with PRG, say over few years, into a hybrid sward and end up over the few years with a PRG sward? Would me nice, rather than taking the time out for a full reseed.
