This post has the most convincing argument I’ve come across for why writing well is important. It inspired me to start a regular writing practice this year, for now in the form of private journaling, and maybe semi-public writing later.

For large civil cases, it's possible to align incentives such that experts and similar companies participate.
Jury selection could work similarly, with companies being selected (and then, possibly, challenged incl. for cause). Judges moderate selection as they do now.

But for BigCo v BigCo, litigating Super Complex Topic With Significant Implications (ex: Google v Oracle), it breaks.
Idea: Assemble a group of
- citizens, protecting the common person
- domain experts, understanding the tech
- similar companies, advocating for market impact

For criminal cases, selection of jury of peers has flaws (consider peremptory challenges, Flowers v. Mississippi), but is our attempt to hold citizens to standards set by other citizens.
It's an intentional feature of our adversarial legal system.

re: Caltech v Broadcom/Apple:
Claim: Complexity has outpaced juries' ability to understand subtleties with deep tech. Even if they take their civic duty seriously, the right outcome may only happen by chance.
What does "jury of peers" look like in 21st century?

If you live near me (Sunnyvale), hit me up for free Kalamata olives. I made a wonderful life decision of buying 10kg, not including brine weight, from a baking distributor, and the only failure mode is not getting through them. pic.twitter.com/9NlZSKnlNW

Stick with it longer (even if you feel like you're failing).
Experiment around with different styles. There's several approaches, and they all dig at something slightly different. You may really resonate with one style over another.

I've experienced this (and intermittently) as well. For the best I can tell, it's highly related to how much stress I have. The feeling lingers on for a while.
Brain.fm's unguided meditation sounds also seem to help.

In the limit, every tech company ends up with tons of tech company exposure. Not exactly anti-fragile, but...
GCP/AWS give out $10k-$20k (that's ~real money!) like it's candy, because someone realized $1 in equal-weight basket of startup spend today is worth $3 next year.

Stumbled on this site, thought you two may like it if you didn't already know about it: theperfectloaf.com/beginners-sour… (and, of course, all the "not-so-beginners" sourdough recipes they have)

You’re not kidding.
There’s a meme that angels aren’t actually “investing”, and just paying dues to be in certain social circles.

When helping people enter tech, one of the things I recommend most is to nail computer efficiency.
Frameworks change, languages evolve.
Being able to use your computer effectively pays massive dividends.

This is how you intentionally build great companies, for whatever definition of "great" you want.
Goes back to E-Myth: you have to design what your business does, as well as the *company* itself.

Talk about a fantastic deal flow for leads for a tech permanent equity fund. $100k is a steal.
