this is incredibly misinformed to the point of it being ridiculous, like I literally can’t believe how ignorant this is this is a technique called blocking. it’s to plan out the camera move and general staging and scale. it is IN NO WAY tracing. literally just reference.

That's perhaps the most succinct, well written way of describing how I've felt with some over the last 3 years. Also bookmarked.

For sure. There’s a time and a place to make something yours. But when I see people labeling themselves as “content creators,” I cringe.

When you say “content” you’ve effectively said the thing you’re enjoying (or making) is no more valuable than a Pringle inside a can. It’s just a generic thing to be consumed. Call it art, or a show, or your work, or a film, or a story, or anything that actually has meaning.

8am-4pm Monday-Friday for my full time job. Occasionally it goes over, but it's very well balanced. Sometimes I take on side projects at home, but I make sure that doesn't cut into family time at all.

One of the many problems with “Apps” being little more than a Chrome web browser right now.

For businesses, subscriptions really aren’t too bad of a deal. For hobbiests, it’s maybe not so much… except for lowering the upfront cost of entry.
