Thirteen Months of Sunrise by Rania Mamoun, tr Elisabeth Jaquette, pub This first collection in English by a female Sudanese writer is a masterclass in sensitive narration. The stories are lively but compassionate. Title comes from the Ethiopian calender of 13 months.
