Hard to believe that Comicstreet would have been upon us in less that a week if circumstances were different! What have you been working on in lockdown, ?

Big announcement: for the past month, I've been secretly organizing a QUARANTINE RECIPE COMIC ZINE! It's got 27 pages of full-color recipe comics by 21 different cartoonists, and all proceeds are being split evenly between all the artists. Check it out!

With great sadness, we must announce that Comicstreet 2020 is cancelled. It would be irresponsible for us to run Comicstreet this year. We will be salvaging what we can from 2020 and moving forward with planning for 2021 instead.

In the meantime, be sure to support the many creators posting their work online, whether that's monetarily or cheering them on from afar. Stay safe, stay home if you can, look after the people around you. :)

Table approvals (sent out today) for 2020 will be transferred to the 2021 event. We will update with more info for 2021 when things settle down and we can make real plans. Thanks for understanding and I hope you'll join us in 2021 to celebrate indie comics together!

Are there any artists who need help setting themselves up to sell stock digitally? I know cons are getting cancelled and online stores aren't the easiest to navigate but I'd be happy to lend a hand to those interested.

Table applications closed yesterday. We'll send out acceptances in about a week as normal but we will be delaying sending of invoices until later in the year. If Comicstreet does get cancelled, this year's acceptances will simply roll over to next year for anyone who wishes to.

Planning will continue as normal for the moment but we'll be delaying making financial commitments (like buying insurance and taking table payments) for as long as possible. Unfortunately we are stuck in the "maybe, maybe not" window at the moment.

For anyone wondering - Comicstreet is not yet cancelled because of COVID19. We're 3 months out so it is still unclear what the situation will be by July. We're obviously closely watching for a government timeline.
