Super happy the paper got published ! Just to understand better, do you know if it was rejected by the reviewers, the ACs or the papers chairs? I'm trying to get a sense of where things go wrong when they do.

I'd change that to "pre-print is fine, just be aware that reviewers may already know who you are if you do it." I don't think CHI has ever rejected based on publishing in a pre-print. But individual reviewers we have less control over.

Not that complicated. "CHI does not discourage non-archival publication of work prior to or during the review process but recognizes that complete anonymization becomes more difficult in that context."
