What bothers me about FISA abuse and those that signed off on them is and testified they were almost just ticking boxes. FISA apps were explosive. Hollywood style blockbuster conspiracy! Epic. I'd have reread those apps a 1000 times. Jaw on floor.

What former Deputy AG Sally Yates’ testimony confirmed today at : -FISA application was surveillance to target the Obama admin’s political opponents -DNC funded the DOJ’s politically motivated investigation -The DOJ & FBI demonstrated abuses of power

It alway irks me when people say extremist movements, like Jamaat-i-Islami, who are also involved in politics will lead to moderation. Osama bin Laden used to fund democratic elections in Pakistan in the 1990s. Didn't work out in his case...

In Tel-Avi tonight, authorities have lit City Hall to display the flag of Lebanon, technically an enemy state, in solidarity with the victims of the blast in Beirut yesterday.

Even if we dispute Papa's portrayal of those contacts, Mifsud still has ties to British intelligence figures. Yates accusing him of being a Kremlin asset implies a much larger scandal. should be holding hearings into the FBI-CIA's practice of teachin foreign venues.

Does the US Congress not have the ability to send decent conferencing hardware to witnesses? I sound much clearer when I'm scuba diving.

Exactly, big problemo if he is a Kremlin asset. But media aren't prepared to look at it because it raises serious questions about his portrayal as a typical Russian cut-out.

This is pretty irresponsible. Sally Yates asserts that Joseph Mifsud was "connected with Russian intelligence," but there's no evidence for that. The Mueller report said he had connections to Russia.

If a Russian agent was working with British and Italian intelligence figures that's a huge scandal. Especially working at a foreign venue where the CIA and FBI train in Italy. and Crossfire debacle can be irrelevant to those facts.

So, if we follow that logic...we dont know if he was spying on them as a double agent for Russia. If Yates is correct the Mifsud scandal is much bigger than the Crossfire Hurricane investigation in the US. Which is the point raised to the CIA, NSA and FBI.

We do. He was working with Claire Smith and Arvinder Sambei. Those are facts. We know these people are British intelligence figures. Correct?

We don't know. But said the USIC has no derogatory information on the Maltese professor. Durham knows a lot more.

is wrong. We do know who he was affiliated with. But we don't know the full details. Yates has just said Mifsud was linked to Russian intelligence.

Most journalists in DC are hacks. It's part of the job description. Both sides have them. Corn is part of US history. People know what he is and what he's omitting. At least Isikoff has admitted they were misled.

It wouldn't happen in other democracies. American media act like they are in different nations. It has been that way since the late 90s. In Europe, the press cover stories and then both sides shout at each other trying to spin the importance. In America, they just ignore.

Fmr. Acting Attorney General Sally Yates to testify on Russia investigation today. The Russia investigation was clearly off the rails. Designed to impede a President. Yates will have to defend her actions. FISA abuses and spying galore.
