I do like that, but there’s already a podcast called “Launch”

Hmm, good call out... I was even thinking of going blue... I need to be careful not to be too similar

Oh nice! I’ll add your name to the list. It’ll still be a bit till I’m actually ready to start recording episodes though. And smoke looks interesting!

Yeah, some others have recommended that name and it’s growing on me

Oh yeah, I definitely want to include that in the conversations as well! I also don’t necessarily want to only include success stories. Though it may be harder to find people who want to talk about projects that didn’t work out

But like you said. It’s started growing on me 😅 There’s been some really good suggestions that I objectively like a lot, but once a name sticks in your head it’s hard to let it go

Yeah that’s my biggest hesitation about launched is I don’t want to limit myself to just new apps. But I think it still works even if talking about the past Like, thinking big, if I somehow convinced a member of the original iPhone team or something to guest, that would even fit

Nice! I’ve been running a couple shows for a few years with a friend too. It’s definitely been a helpful learning experience

Yeah, the main problem with Indieviews is there’s already a website called The Indieviews about independent book authors. So I felt like that was too similar and could be confusing

Hmm, I do like that. And it does open up the art possibilities...

These are just rough sketches trying to get an idea formed. But I kind of like the idea of keeping the hand sketch feel. Maybe a little bit of a blueprint kinda blue for the title type?

Awesome! I think this is a case where rising tide lifts all boats. And you probably can pull in some higher profile devs than I can at this stage

You mean the tag line? I’m kind of thinking just “Launching a product is hard” on its own in most places would work.

I generally like circles since they play nice with apps that round off artwork corners and social profiles, but I’m liking the idea of putting it in an iOS app squircle to give a little hint that it’s dev focused?

So with a name like “Launched” the obvious visual that comes to mind is a rocket, but for “reasons” I didn’t want to do that I’m playing around with a paper airplane like is often used as a “send” symbol. I’m using the excellent for quick rough sketches
