It costs approximately $200,000 to treat a patient with Dengue. It costs about 500 dollars to purchase net to cover the drums we use for water storage & zero dollars & a little effort to rid our homes & communities of mosquito breeding sites. Let’s prevent the spread of dengue.

As part of our Dengue clean up efforts I assisted members of my constituency to properly dispose of bulky waste and identify and clean other potential mosquito breeding sites. You can coordinate with other members of your communities to do the same.

Parts of Clarendon have been identified as having an above average rate of dengue infections. I have just concluded a tour of sections of South East Clarendon where we identified certain problem areas such as large drains and gullies which require urgent cleaning.
