Such a great point, comical even 😂 he's technically "doing business" with them too. I have no opinion on this topic but this point is well taken.

An intense week has left me utterly exhausted. Finding time for self care, rest, planning a wedding, being a Mom, prepping the kids back to school, running an org, meal & snack planning for the kids has proven to be oh so delightful...I'll retreat in a dark, quiet corner now 🥴

This is America. Blaming Trump takes away personal responsibility for racism and the other evils that exist here, meanwhile people of color bear the brunt in our everyday lives with microaggressions and blantant acts of privilege. This isn't a game, this is real life.

As it relates to programs targeting mothers and babies, if the outcome data isn't broken down by race it's irrelevant to reducing racial disparities. No matter how great the outcomes are, I'm discounting them if they don't show impact on Black mothers and babies.

Excellent perspective! Not one lie here. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Thank you. Keep the conversation going. As I've stated before, only a Black person can be an expert in Black issues, and provide guidance on how to address racial disparities, and they also need to be the right Black person, not any.

New experiences, personal growth, development, and adventure... You can't get there with the same way of thinking. Won't experience the new with the old mode but feel free to take wisdom with you, you'll definitely need it.

I challenge you to think outside of what's been taught, or what you thought you knew. Understand that we know nothing. To start over with a fresh, untainted perspective, to not have fear but faith, be a free spirit for once, not force things but allow them to flow 💜

Black isn't a nation. It isn't a country. It's a word to describe the general abundance of melanin in one's skin to be assumed has African ancestry. That's all. There's not a "culture". Black people come from many nations. African Americans just don't know which ones...

And this is why... Black people do not have a nation. We're not tied to a nation because we don't know what nation we came from. We do know we have African ancestry but that's different from belonging to a nation.
