Pavement parking or gutter parking? Which do we prefer? Or a segregated cycle lane w hearses on the side road (10m away) & trucks on road side of cycle lane. Current version not good for peds or bikes.

I only bring sarcasm out on a Friday… re your (plural) opinion of me: I know personally and I’m pretty sure her opinion of me took a tumble well before this exchange ;)

Personally I’m all for no big deliveries during the working day, if shops want fresh produce throughout the day because their product needs to be fresher than a 5am delivery then yes, cycle deliveries. (And I’m not being sarcastic on this one!)

Under CS9 proposals there is unloading permitted 10am-4pm outside the bike lanes, with dropped kerb to get loading trolleys across. Much safer.

Tories are not evil. Neither are TfL, neither is Jeremy Corbyn, neither are the council, neither are cyclists, neither are local people, neither is Theresa May, neither is Europe, neither are motorists. Seriously, it’s a bike lane, different people think different things.

No they aren’t. It’s not the councillors’ job to . They are not planners, draftspeople, architects, or engineers. They are there to hold local govt to account. Which is what they are doing.

What, so I should stop tweeting if people who are politically different to me like my tweet? Maybe I should vett everyone on Twitter before tweeting! Or maybe have a handy pre-emptive one-liner response lying in wait!

You mean “the local councillors”? ALL councillors are unanimously behind the objection to CS9. It’s too easy to decry “those evil tories” all the time, you’re going to need to come up with something better.

In this country parking laws are usually civil not criminal offences. I may be wrong but I don’t know if there have been any criminal cases brought against someone for parking in the wrong spot.

People keep using this phrase “throwing the baby out with the bath water.” You, that loopy Sean guy, and others on twtr. Not sure why. I’m extremely keen on a protected cycle way. It would be TfL doing the bath water throwing if they don’t come back to the drawing board!

No no, absolutely not - shops can’t possibly be allowed to take deliveries. And if they do they need to be hand delivered, by bike only. And the bikes can’t park up in the cycle lane. Or the pavement for that matter. In fact nobody is allowed to get in MY way.

The front counter at Police Station will close today, but more officers will be out on the streets of the Capital, keeping safe. Your 24/7 front counter at Police Station will remain open for you to speak to an officer face-to-face

The side road crossings are a very welcome addition. I don’t know why the council hasn’t done this already, they gave up caring when they caught wind of CS9 a number of years ago. Poor show from Hounslow on that one.

Unfortunately, Chiswick highroad doesn’t have any school that front on to the road. There are a couple that are set back on parallel roads…
