But that hasn't stopped me getting some specimen repair in, like these two from the late 1800s: a suicidal cut throat and choking on bread (you can see the bolus of dough beneath the epiglottis in specimen ML.42) πŸ”¬πŸ”ŽπŸ”ͺ

With all this going on (I believe it's some kind of protection for our specimens since the building of a private hospital next door, by Bart's Trust, has caused some damage) it's a good time for me to be saying goodbye to the museum until the new year!! πŸ‘‹

Frances Glessner Lee - the 'Real Life ' - also created these incredible tiny crime scenes called the Nutshell Studies. They are still used for Forensic training in the US
