Linda Tirano, a photojournalist in who has worked for The Guardian, was shot in the face with a rubber bullet by the police. The doctors performed emergency surgery, but they were unable to save her eye. She is now permanently blind in that eye.

Denver. Police were firing pepper bullets and tear gas at cars stopped at an intersection, targeting a car with a pregnant woman. A man yells at them “You’re shooting my car with my girlfriend in it? My pregnant girlfriend in it?” The cops open fire on him with pepper rounds.

DC police shoot a tear gas round directly at a man’s head, barely missing him. The point of tear gas is to be less lethal. Firing it into someone’s face point-blank is attempted murder by . Boston PD killed Victoria Snelgrove this way in 2004.

My friends in the National Guard are concerned that the Rules of Engagement are unclear on what to do if they witness police violating the customary international laws of armed conflict. They have a duty to intervene if they see police aiming rubber bullets at peoples’ heads.

LOUISVILLE: and murdered a man last night outside his barbecue restaurant. David McAtee was killed by police and guardsmen who opened fire into a crowd after hearing a gunshot, but no gunman was found. McAtee died shielding his niece.

Today, it emerged that the “shots fired” was an officer shooting into the air to disperse the crowd. After learning that all officers had their body cams DISABLED, Mayor Fischer fired the police chief. 12 hours later, McAtee’s body still lay on the ground where he died.
