My friends in the National Guard are concerned that the Rules of Engagement are unclear on what to do if they witness police violating the customary international laws of armed conflict. They have a duty to intervene if they see police aiming rubber bullets at peoples’ heads.

LOUISVILLE: and murdered a man last night outside his barbecue restaurant. David McAtee was killed by police and guardsmen who opened fire into a crowd after hearing a gunshot, but no gunman was found. McAtee died shielding his niece.

Today, it emerged that the “shots fired” was an officer shooting into the air to disperse the crowd. After learning that all officers had their body cams DISABLED, Mayor Fischer fired the police chief. 12 hours later, McAtee’s body still lay on the ground where he died.
