Hey ! Gene Kahn, the founder of Cascadian Farm, was a pragmatist. He believed that to make a meaningful impact through agriculture, we should leverage business as a force for good and try to scale. But organic still only makes up 1% of farmland.

Hi Jason, Baking soda is added to the spinach to prevent the unsightly browning that quickly occurs when the leaves are cut. There is no aluminum in the baking soda that is added to this product. We hope this is helpful. :)
