Hope that our local Sainsbury’s along with other business will consider their response to the most vulnerable in our area.

What a poor response. They said it’s central funding pulled. You are saying it’s them. That doesn’t add up.

As they said it was a central decision maybe you could help us by contracting the Division Street Store?

We did speak to a manager who just said that the budget had been cut. Seemed such a disappointing response.

Such a shame. Our local is no longer willing to help with the local homeless souprun due to cuts to their charitable budget. Is there any chance this might be reconsidered ?

For 10 years our local Sainsbury’s has helped our Homeless Soup kitchen once a month with free sandwiches, but they are now unable to, because their charitable budget has been pulled. Why is this ?

Please pray for Fr David D'Silva and his people as they begin to plant into a disused chapel of ease in his parish. It’s really exiting and encouraging to see this happen! God gives the growth!

we rejoice today in the canonisation of John Henry Newman. His legacy in both Anglican and RC church is immense and we give thanks for his theology, poetry, devotion to pastoral care and sanctity of life. John Henry Newman, pray for us!

O God, who bestowed on the Priest Blessed John Henry Newman the grace to follow your kindly light and find peace in your Church; graciously grant that, through his intercession and example, we may be led out of shadows and images into the fullness of your truth. Amen.

In 1571, a Christian fleet defeated the Turks in the battle of Lepanto. Pope St Pius V attributed this victory to the recitation of the Holy Rosary and so instituted today’s feast of Our Lady of the Rosary to celebrate the anniversary.

Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Loving Saviour, while hanging on the cross, you gave your mother Mary to be the mother of John; let us be known as her children by our way of living. – Lord, may your mother pray for us.
