Except most have only a warped, fragmentary knowledge of the before, and the after is _all_ projection... 🤔
But still! I can see this being super helpful wrt dissolving this all-too-common blocker. :)))

Well, that was overall rather enjoyable. A couple weird (very Guardian-ey) digs and here and there, but seemed fair enough most of the time.
Thanks for sharing!

Well, I found some time today and am happy to report... this 💡 only keeps getting brighter!
Sucks that I have to put it on hold for _another_ night, though! 😅

One of the very worst things about early morning fixed-time obligations is that bedtime 💡 moments can't be immediately explored.
Not without some measure of guilt/pre-regret, at least!
Which really sucks. :(

Oh, I'm somewhat familiar (thanks to you and Sam Harris, I think). I just haven't seen this clip in particular!
Would be great to hear them chat at some point! :)

Surely we know this much: that whatever laws govern a given simulation, they're computable one 'level' up. So, ultimately, they're a subset of the computables in the *real* universe.

Hmm. I suppose it's more of a pedantic point, then: if indeed we're living in a sim, big whoop. That sim depends on the real world. So the sim argument is no argument against realism.
As for different laws: only _so_ different! As all would have to be computable in reality.

Fair enuf!
Though I always thought it said more: that the claim was stronger.
That it the idea included, "and we're forever trapped in it." And/or, "so the real world is inaccessible." "You should be profoundly skeptical." Etc.
But aren't the sims constrained by real physics?
