A friend has helped me use NodeRed to extract the ON/OFF info from the Hive thermostat API. I also have temp probes on heating pipes measuring pipe temps. The idea being to better understand heating efficiency and possible switch to ASHP.

Heating our house with rads at ~36-38C is resulting in the run time for the heating system operating at 40mins/degC.day of heat. Hence so far this month this equals ~198mins/day. Average outside temp ~10.5C so for typical Dec-Jan temps this give ~410-430mins/day = very manageable
