Reviewed the progress of various urban development projects of Ludhiana and Patiala today. Have directed officers to finalise the project reports for the Patiala Nadi and Ludhiana Budha Nullah within one month. Will ensure that we start work on both projects soon.

Amongst other decisions taken today in , we have decided to dis-invest around 90 lakhs shares of PSIDC in PACL and money raised will be used in settling PSIDC debts. Also, we will ease civil services personnel recruitment rules to fill posts lying vacant asap.

An emotional and cherished memory from my 2004 visit to Sri Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of the Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. These memories, from 15 years ago, are still so fresh in my mind as I recall the divine & blissful experience of visiting the birthplace of the first Sikh Guru.

Taken note of reports of assault on SI by drug smugglers during raid in Tarn Taran. Have ordered dismissal/other necessary action against cops who accompanied him but did nothing to rescue him. Stringent action also being taken against attackers.
