WA stockwoman knew life at sea would be vastly different to the day-to-day operations at her family’s Kimberley cattle station, Kalyeeda. Yet, it was the unknown which excited Ms Camp ahead of her maiden live cattle voyage.

So green! More footage sent from my parents of the Kalyeeda flood plains. We’ve had about 200mm of rain so far and the horses are clearly loving it!

Maiden Voyage done! I learnt so much, worked hard, faced many challenges both mentally and physically and overall absolutely loved the whole experience. It was my first time working on a live export vessel and it certainly won’t be my last.

This is a photo sent to us recently of 7000 sheep unloading in Dubai, UAE. Exporters remain responsible for Australian sheep even after they are delivered, and up until post slaughter. This is called ESCAS - The Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System.

“If you had $86,400 and someone stole $10 would you throw $86,390 away for revenge? Or move on and live? Right, move on and live. See you have 86,400 seconds each day. Don’t let someone’s negative 10 seconds ruin the remaining 86,390. Life is bigger than that. And so are you.”
