That's not really how GDP works. When there's higher GDP, there are more goods available. That brings overall prices down. That benefits everyone, not just the rich.

I've never even heard of anyone doing that. I've never heard of this approach to Constitutional interpretation. I suspect this is true even of some Constitution scholars.

Try 1.72% vs. 2.86% (2018). Much more importantly, France's GDP has been falling for decades. That is *not* the direction we want to go. The US has many problems, largely caused by the Federal government. Giving the people causing the problem more power is not the answer.
