When the clearest examples of racism/bigotry present themselves on the news cycle, we’re asking “If not now, then when? If not him, then who?” It’s a trust issue, not a “box to check”.

Many of us are trying to navigate painful spaces where we feel betrayed by the White evangelical church/Christians who we thought loved all of us. We would prefer not to be re-traumatized by the cycle of private affirmation/public silence
