No idea why they’re bothering to mop up at all, it’s clearly darker than when they went off yesterday

I hate when England do this 🤦‍♂️ bowled so well so far, so why change what you’re doing?! Just be patient, leave the field alone and bowl the same stuff. Still in a good position, but could have been better the last hour. Sure Jofra would have bowled at the stumps at least!

This team is starting to look quite exciting! 🤞

Curran thoroughly deserves that. Threatened outside edge and the pad throughout his spell. Will be getting some nice footmarks on the go for Bess as well, the team is always a better line-up with him in at home

Hadn’t dropped a catch for ages before the last match - he was under pressure for not making runs. He’s rectified that. Until Foakes goes back to Surrey and gets some runs he’s not even in the picture quite frankly

They are both good wicketkeepers, Foakes maybe slightly better. But analysis suggests keeping is not all that important compared to runs scored with the bat, and in that area Buttler beats Foakes by miles. Foakes hasn’t made runs in any cricket for more than two years

Did he bend his back?

The prisoner was Sammie, but I couldn’t say for sure which book it was

I’m pretty sure that if any of the attack had sent down the dross Archer did in the second innings they’d have copped stick as well. Even St Jimmy Anderson, veteran of nearly 600 test wickets copped some unfair stick. Why would Archer be immune to scrutiny?

You implied that I was, because I thought Anderson bowled better than Archer. Until that point, Marc and I had been talking purely about the cricket. Then you popped up again to bring racial matters back in to the thread. Maybe race is more of an issue for you than it is for me..

Quite right, you do not. What gives you the right to presuppose my motives for saying that Archer should perhaps try to bowl a bit quicker? Do you believe there’s a perfect Venn diagram of those who think Archer could bend his back a little and Britain First members, perhaps?

Stop trying to wriggle out of it with semantics, you louse. Apologise for suggesting that because I thought Archer bowled badly in the First Test, I am somehow a racist

I choose not to wear a poppy either, and support anyone’s right to express themselves as they see fit. Perhaps you need to consider your own attitudes to freedom of expression

No, you said “Because Jimmy is white”, implying the my views or based on skin colour, which they are categorically not. I think an apology is in order

Plenty. All about cricket, never about his race or colour. I find most people are proud to have men like Moeen and Archer representing the country

You said earlier that I criticised Archer and not Anderson on the basis that I am white. If that is not libellous, I don’t know what is. At the very least, I’d like an apology

Anyone would think there’s only one black cricketer in the world. We have cricketing discussions about Rabada, Holder, Kohli - no-one ever mentions their skin colour. Same with Moeen and Rash. So why would Archer’s skin make any difference? It doesn’t

Yeah it’s got to be done for sure. If you want to go into it deeper, we’ll set aside Naseem and Abid Ali’s stats as they’ve only played a handful of tests. Yasir averages less than 14, Abbas less than 7. How can argue they are worth as much as those that Naseem and Shaheen took?

In fact, if he put his accusation earlier in print I’d probably be taking legal action.

I think people should be free to question his approach without being labelled as a racist, quite frankly. (Indeed the only person in this thread who has discussed anything other than his bowling is , who started it. I think that says it all really)
