If you've got a good temperament, which basically means being very patient, yet combine that with a vast aggression when you know enough to do something, then you just gradually learn the game, partly by doing, partly by studying.

My gut is that you could measure the amount of learning in a session by the amount of questions that are asked during that time.
Just counted from a past session with one of my coaches - 57 questions in little over an hour.

Is there a definition somewhere for what it means to work in “product”?
Or are we all just kind of redefining it to our own organizational / personal needs?
I’m good either way I just want to know what game I’m playing.

One of the most valuable skills in the educational world is being able to craft great questions.
Its also probably the rarest to find.
Too many instructional designers see them as mechanisms of evaluation and miss their value in provoking new avenues of thought.

I review (& learn) in response to what’s happening around me
If I’m fundraising - I’m reading / reviewing about that
If I’m coding I review those
Mgmt, writing, sales etc.,
Others I keep in a “general” bucket that I want to keep constant interaction with

I keep nested lists - it allows me to focus on an area within a domain which is surprisingly useful over many years. pic.twitter.com/82qt5oERg6

I used to do that in poker - make others think I didn’t catch the River etc.,
It’s worse when you do it to yourself though :-p

In chess feeling good can obscure your ability to read the board
You get tied to the feeling of being in a “winning position” & filter the board through that emotion
Not recognizing when the board has shifted against you - u move as if you were in advantage
Blunder ensues

Dialogue - it’s about where the student is at / how they’re thinking about a problem.
