I have no idea what constitutes a poem either. I can't get any further than 'a selection of words arranged to express a feeling or thought from the author and which evoke a response from the reader'. But that could be applied to other kinds of writing, too!

THE WALL Until I hit it, all was well; no cramps or sores, from what I could tell. My glycogen stores seemed undepleted. I had no thought to meet it. But my brain must have been misled. The Wall loomed up. I stayed in bed.
