I would choose Nelson Mandela. Not very original, I know, but it would be fascinating to listen to him!

A bit of tinsle draped over the scythe would be a touch of class, I think!

Great question. As a performing musician, the skills and confidence I needed pre-brain injury are largely redundant post-BI as I can't do much of what I could! Now, self-confidence is more self-fortitude - the mental tenacity to keep pushing myself forward

The published papers state they are re-planning timelines and will report to parliament later this year. They are reliant upon the DWP as well, and they themselves are snowed under with UC claims due to Covid-19 and the Job Retention Scheme

I read recently an article that said scientists had found Covid-19 could (in some cases) dramatically thicken the blood causing clots leading to stroke/heart attacks, etc

Great blog. It's totally overwhelming, isn't it? I was a pro musician and spent two years unable to listen to music. Made my brain melt. 7 years on and I can listen to music again, but in small doses only!

Recording my first podcast at The Confluence (my home studio). Now I just need to edit, mix, master and publish. A brain meltdown ahead, methinks!

Naturally enough, there's a lot of emphasis on physical rehab but the emotional rehab tends to get ignored. For anyone with brain injury, this is an area we need to recognise better, I think

I stopped eating any processed food in January this year. My brain function is better (I'm a stroke survivor), my fatigue is better, my skin is better and I've lost over 50lbs. (I can't exercise as I have mobility issues).

Exactly, Frances. I've had the same thoughts myself. Lockdown was normal life for me but (rightly) there has been much talk about the effects of lockdown on mental health. But if you have health issues your life might be on permanent lockdown, which rarely gets mentioned

It's a long road, Dave. I'm 7 years down the road. Improvements are small and slow, and sometimes unexpected. In Jan I changed what I eat and it's radically improved my neuro fatigue. Who knew? Keep plugging away, mate
