Indeed. You have.
This was in reply to the question ‘What if we only ate food from local farms?’
That would entail millions of deaths. Sorry if I don’t see a benefit in that.

There are benefits with local sourcing, so no I never claimed that.
Specifically environmentally and nutritionally, which are the most common claims (including here) the idea that ‘local = automatically better’ is not well supported by really any good evidence. twitter.com/paul123pe/stat…

It tends to be a certain type of person that uses the ‘You can’t call me racist just coz I disagree with you!’ defence....
The kind that says this immediately following being picked up on a racist comment.

Oh I don’t think Londoners are rude, as such.
Just more reserved and awkward. Or that could just be me!

I think it’s a really terrible reflection on me that everytime I go to Ireland I can’t help but feel unsconsiously suspicious because people are so polite, civil and friendly.
It seems London (and twitter?) have ruined me... twitter.com/peston/status/…

The Irish leaders’ debate is really quite shocking. The three leaders have a detailed grasp of complex welfare and tax issues, they are polite and courteous, they admit mistakes, they say sorry. They might even be largely honest. Why is all that possible in Ireland but not here?

Can you point to where I ‘bullied’ you, Nicky?
Like, say, calling someone biased, childish, unethical and lacking respect. 🤷🏻♂️

Sure. But they are all useful clues in piecing together a puzzle, when seen as a whole.
The important thing is to avoid the temptation to select only parts of the papers that happen to say what you like, ignoring all evidence to the contrary, and holding this up as ‘proof’.

Fancy that!
Not everything in the world can be explained by a ‘vegans are bad’ or ‘dairy is bad’ narrative.

It’s literally like me standing in front of a Western supermarket in Malaysia at Christmas time and shouting at a bunch of Brits because of Trump.

I went there two years ago for Lunar New Year and was shouted at by a bunch of white people protesting the Chinese dog meat trade.
They were unaware they were shouting at a crowd of Malaysians, none of which had likely even been to China on holiday. 🤷🏻♂️ twitter.com/johnsimpsonnew…
