I usually stick the bacon and sausages in the oven, as the grill tends to set the smoke alarm off! I don't often have the kidney. I prefer to have black pudding, but unfortunately there's no mention of that in the Bond books!

It's a occasional treat for me these days. When I have one, I don't need to eat anything else until the evening.

The Dr No breakfast: scrambled eggs on toast, four rashers of bacon, a grilled kidney and a pork sausage. Plus more hot toast, jam, marmalade, honey and coffee (not pictured)

is in town and he is hungry. Do you serve scrambled eggs, he is your guest, you want him happy? A family recipe so he can expand his tastes--besides you want to show off? Or, is he such a finicky eater, you won't cook for him--he can take you out?

Definitely the family recipe. When James Bond is in town, he eats local. But he has scrambled eggs as well!

Hadn't the start of filming been pushed back a month as well?

Be sure to check out 'James Bond Food', the new name of 'Licence to Cook', the site that explores the food of the Bond films and books and presents recipes inspired by the food James Bond eats.
