I'm not really in favor of curbing the performance folks. I'd rather us make very clear policies that nobody can explicitly ask another person for money. First/last sounds like a way to just limit buskers' options, and shoehorn people into the middle cars, too much crowding.

A problem with outrage culture is that we would rather hold a spotlight on our stupidest people than our most thoughtful, and the more you do that, the less anyone sees anything worth living up to.

Agreed. I meant to dive deeper into this last night. Overt requests for money feels like it crosses a line, pretty much no matter where it happens.

Thank you. I'd love to get specifics on what tactics they've arrived at which will have lasting success. Do you know who the best contact would be for this conversation?

Disappointing. And annoyingly, the name now not only includes the name of a pretty shitty person, but it’s also too goddamn long.

The main character in the movie I’m planning to direct is 15 years old. She’s stubborn, resourceful and blind. I need your help finding the right actress.

Fellow enthusiasts who access the app with on iOS, when a route includes walking segments, is it possible to read through turn-by-turn details of the pedestrian portion(s)? All VO voices is something like "walk to ..." but I can't get further deets

I'll add that I just tried to add my Wells Fargo cc to Ubereats, and they wouldn't even let me add it. I'm not sure who I trust less: big tech or big banks. Though I'm not rushing to abandon WF.

Big news! The CBS All Access streaming service now offers . I can confirm that Star Trek Discovery, Twilight Zone, and the Good Fight, all originals, possess AD. Can't confirm all eps are described. The tbw list just keeps getting longer.

You're not alone. 6 days away has generated an epic landslide of emails, to-dos, and phone calls, yes phone calls, from which I may never emerge.

I wasn’t recommending a switch, rather a step in the troubleshooting process. As I indicated in my first tweet, I have to wonder if the issue rests with Outlook rather than the screen reader. Good luck

I prefer early exercise, as it is a good way to trim fat if you exercise before eating anything in the day. Also, evening exertion, in my experience anyway, releases endorphins which keep me awake too late.

Definitely different from the sounds used on the new train cars.BART has a 2-note repetetive tone just before the doors close, but it only lasts 2-3 seconds before doors shut.

Have you tried Outlook with Jaws to verify that the poor performance is limited to NVDA? When Outlook is involved, regardless the nature of the particular frustration, it's far more often that Outlook is to blame.
