Each trademark will be allocated at least one class. If the name isnt trademarked for games then you *should* be ok, but worth researching further if thats the case. Possible workaround is to expand the name. E.g. X: Golem in the Gears. To repeat, im not a lawyer! Good luck 😀

I suppose etiquette would be not to use the same name if no trademark exists. If a trademark does exist then you run the risk of being sued if you go down the line of using that name. Check out the euipo and ipo websites which will tell you whats taken in the eu and the us

No problem! It’s moving forwards - working on finalising the layout of the cards and do some colour tests on the board, as well as lots of playtesting! Thank you for asking :) tell me about your game?

Hey, we just launched our Kickstarter for some D&D monster pins! Who doesn't need a drow pin? Or a dragon wyrmling? Or a kobold? 😈 ⚡ First 48 hours, there's a $5 discount on the top tier (all 10 pins) too!

I guess it’s not technically a board game, but Dungeons and Dragons when I was a kid. I think those experiences really shaped my interests in the hobby

If you’re serious, speak with an ip lawyer. I can recommend one if you’d like. Unfortunately they’re not cheap, but you may be able to get some basic information (enough to move forwards on your own) just from initial discussions

Who goes there by John Campbell. Its a collection of short stories that includes the story The Thing is based on. Recommended 👍

Currently working on my first game, which will be a second edition to an old horror board game called The Gothic Game. Loved (almost) every second of the process so far! Always happy to talk 😀

To raise money for charity, I am raffling off my old copy of Mage Knight, along with all the expansions, and the Daedalus insert. If you are in the UK and interested in donating, please let me know. And please, if you see this post, share it. This is a good cause.

I know what you mean. I found the controls a bit fiddly on console though, and am intrigued by the mechanics for the board game. Its had some great reviews. Letters from Whitechapel is another I want to try
