Why can't you add a dissolve to an adjustment layer (color fx) & have it fade to the shot below? Always a black frame/no fade

It has gained more ground since it's available on Mac. But it's still pretty small of a user base compared to anything else

I have worked with Flame/Smoke, PremierePro, Lightworks. Still use Smoke and Premiere. I also know a little FCPX.
