Here’s another. This is a large tree stump, left for nature - as it should be. But look... glyphosate again. That area had been full of beetles last week! All connected to the deadwood, now gone.

I've started a petition on the appalling practice of night time olive harvesting which is responsible for killing millions of songbirds each year as the rest in olive trees. Please sign and share as widely as possible!

Another protected bird confirmed shot during the closed season. This was found yesterday by a member of the public. Both its legs were broken. The vet today confirmed it was shot, becoming the 43rd known illegal hunting casualty received so far this year.

🐑 sheep sometimes get their head stuck through the wire fencing. If you see this whilst out in the countryside you can help them out by gently easing their head back through the hole.

Birds get a lot of the focus, but it's not just birds that suffer at the hands of these vandals.

It was a joy to watch young Lapwings feeding confidently while parents watched on and did what Lapwings do and chased away Carrion Crows. Also had to worry about lambs that chased the young too.

Morning Will. Do you have an accurate location for this netting so I can put in on the ‘map of shame’?

Quite a sad sight in Pontfadog, NE Wales. A Grey-patched mining bee (Andrena nitida) unable to forage on the hedgerow's flowers due to the netting.
